Following on from Bella's post...

Yes, the internet can be a very dangerous place when 'misused'. Here is a true story that I have personally been told at a cyber safety workshop...

There was a young woman (about 19 years old) who had a passion for animals. She put that she loved animals on her facebook page. She got a message from a man saying that he worked at the RSPCA and was keen to meet her and offer her a job at the organisation. He asked her to meet him at night at a particular location. This young woman was foolish enough to believe the man, and went (alone). A week later, news came that the woman had been murdered by two men. This story is an extreme case but could happen. If someone ever asks you to meet them, dont. Tell someone and discuss it. If you decide to go, only go in the daytime where there are people around and make sure you are with at least two older people. Don't approach any suspicious looking people. Leave immediately if you feel uncomfortable. Don't enter any enclosed places with someone you don't know - e.g. bathroom. Be smart - make responsible decisions and always ask yourself: Should I really do this? If in doubt, don't do it at all!

STAY CYBER SAFE!
